Karpenisi-Agrafa
Karpenisi is the Capital of the prefecture of Evritania and the Municipality of Karpenisi. It is located in the center of the Prefecture and is connected to Lamia and Agrinio through the Diocese of Episkopi.

The well-known and well-sung village of Agrafa is located at an altitude of 880m., At the foot of Mount Koukourountzos, surrounded by beautiful mountain peaks and steep gorges. The natural beauty of the landscape immediately wins over even the most demanding visitor. At the foot of the village at Sporn and Hodeika, the river Agrafiotis springs. Activities
In Agrafa those who are engaged in hiking and mountaineering can take the E4 path, reach the beautiful gorge of Agrafiotis (Trypa Oskliani – belongs to the protected areas NATURA 2000), climb Hodeika and reach the location Veli where Katsantonis7 killed 1807 Beligeka.
In Karpenisi, you can also try hiking to one of the many hiking routes of Agrafa having the mountains as a view. Also, you can go horse riding, as well as go skiing at the ski center of Karpenisi.

The ski center of Velouchi

The beautiful traditional village of Koryschades
A picturesque traditional village that will meet your expectations. The walks on the stone cobbled streets with the well-preserved houses are enjoyable. In the square of Koryschades you will see the church of Agios Athanasios of 1865 and the historic primary school of 1901, which houses the interesting Museum of National Resistance.
The fairytale Gorge “It always rains”
In Central Greece, a short distance from Karpenisi, is the narrow passage of Krikellopotamos: between two mountains, it looks like a gorge. It is a magical place with lakes, waterfalls, caves, dense vegetation, steep cliffs. It is located at the base of Kaliakouda and Mount Platanaki and is one of the most impressive sights of Karpenisi.

The Watermill at the entrance of the village, with the trout farming on the Agrafiotis river, which functions as a recreation area and a tavern. Its owner is Kitsios Dimitrios.
The single-arched stone bridge built in 1600 waiting for the visitor to cross to the opposite bank of the Agrafiotis river.
In Karpenisi you have to try the local pork Sausages, the Prosciuto, the local Feta cheese. For sweets do not forget to try, the sweet spoons and the excellent Karpenisi honey. There you can also find any kind of pie and do not forget to drink the local Tsipouro from berries.
