Rhodes Walking Food Tour In Detail
Get a taste of local life! Take a journey through the culture and flavours of Rhodes on our Medieval Town Walking Food Experience
Greece is paradise for food lovers. But Greek food also plays an integral role in local culture and daily life. So one of the best ways to really get to know the country is by exploring its culinary heritage. The strategic position of our island, Rhodes, has led to a variety of invaders and colonisers throughout its history, all of which have left a unique and delicious legacy in Rhodian food.
Vlm Travel invites you on a culinary journey through Rhodes, as we introduce you to local food producers and share the secrets of our delicious cuisine. Our Rhodes for Foodies: Medieval Town Walking Food Tour experience is led by an English-speaking guide (who just happens to also be a passionate foodie). Together you’ll eat your way around the Medieval Town of Rhodes, while learning the tastes, stories and background of our cuisine.
The tour starts your day with breakfast, with a traditional phyllo pie from a family-run shop, you will be lead to hidden culinary gems inside the Medieval city that mainly locals know about.
You will visit many different food shops, coffee shops, local liquer shops and off-the-beaten-path taverns & traditional restaurants, while you will also explore the Medieval Town of Rhodes.
There’s also a hidden church visit, for some special cake, made just for you.
Make sure you leave room for lunch though, as we have a treat in store! You’ll dine in one of the island’s best meze tavernas, famed for its authentic food and fantastic Greek hospitality.
Our Rhodes Food tour: Medieval Town Walking Food Tour experience last for approximately four hours, and runs on a private basis for two to ten people. Don’t eat too much breakfast though – you’ll want to save room for all this delicious food!
